What we're looking for
- ✓Excellent communication skills and a friendly, patient personality
- ✓Currently enrolled in high school or college, or holding a college degree
- ✓Teaching certification is a plus, but not required for every subject
- ✓Real academic background in the subject or subjects you want to teach
Good to have
- ✓Reliable transportation for in-home sessions
- ✓Experience with the test you're coaching, if you're tutoring SAT, ACT, or AP
- ✓Comfort teaching on video for virtual sessions
- ✓Patience for a student who's had a long day at school

Not always. A college degree, or current high school or college enrollment with strong subject knowledge, can qualify you. Certified teachers are also welcome.
